FreeTabMemory

FreeTabMemory is a lightweight Chrome extension that helps reduce Chrome's memory usage by suspending inactive tabs. By automatically suspending tabs that have not been viewed for a certain period of time, the extension frees up memory and CPU resources. It also offers features like whitelisting specific URLs or domains, showing screen capture of tabs before suspension, preventing tabs playing audio or containing user input forms from suspending, and configurable behavior for offline or battery power usage. The extension requires permissions to read and change data on visited websites to prevent suspension of tabs with unsaved form input, and to read and change browsing history to avoid creating redundant items.
